Portfolio Specification dialog — how to navigate and manage portfolios (groups of combined files). Press F1 inside the dialog for built-in help.
Creating a new portfolio: either add to the end of the Portfolio Name list, or select an existing portfolio in the list and Edit / Insert Portfolio to insert a new one above it. Name it and add Comments as needed.
Adding files: click Add File to Portfolio — browse and select any files; no limit on the number of files in a portfolio.
Copy/Paste a portfolio: select an existing portfolio, Edit / Copy Portfolio, select a destination position in the list, Edit / Paste Portfolio — duplicates the entire portfolio (name, comments, and all files) for quick creation of a variant portfolio without rebuilding from scratch.
Deleting: Edit / Delete Portfolio removes an entire portfolio (the named group). To remove just one file from within a portfolio without deleting the whole group: select that file, Delete File from Portfolio — can be re-added later if needed.
Three exit buttons (hover for tooltip descriptions): Cancel — discards all changes made in this session, returns to the Assumption Set you were in before opening Portfolios. Save and Exit — saves all changes (new/edited/deleted portfolios) but returns to the regular Assumption Edit Screen, NOT into Portfolio Mode. Save and Enter — saves all changes AND enters Portfolio Mode using the specific Assumption Set currently highlighted in the list.
Recognizing Portfolio Mode: the Assumption Edit Screen fields display with a light blue highlight when in Portfolio Mode — absence of blue means you are in a regular (non-portfolio) file.
Exiting Portfolio Mode: File / Exit Portfolio Mode — prompts whether to post any overrides made while in portfolio (answer based on whether you want portfolio-level changes applied back to the individual file). Returns you to the regular Assumption Edit Screen for that file (no blue highlighting).
Returning to Portfolio Mode: File / Portfolios, select the desired portfolio, select the assumption set within it, Save and Enter.
